Showtime is a new web Series on Disney Plus Hotstar starring Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Mouni Roy, Vijay Razz and Rajeev Khandelwal. Showtime is a creation of Sumit Roy which is directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar. Showtime web series has been produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra and Mihir Desai under the production house of Dharamatic Entertainment. The story of Showtime is written by Sumit Roy while the dialogues has been written by Jehan Handa, Karan Shrikant Sharma. Music in the web series Showtime has been given by Anand Bhaskar.

Showtime Hotstar web series will explore the dark secrets of Bollywood film industry covering studio-wars, power struggles and everything that goes on behind the scenes, film production, glamour and more. In the web series a female news anchor criticise the Bollywood film industry and a well famous production studio for Nepotism. Emraan Hashmi who is playing the role of a star kid of famous producer is looks very arrogant and angry man in the web series. He says that nepotism is a quick fix excuse for every outsider wanting to become an insider. Naseeruddin Shah who is the owner of a famous studio belives that cinema is never just business, it's always been religion for him.
